Yesterday, Joe Morrrow (148) won the best lifter title at the APA Raw Powerlifting, Bench Press and Deadlift National Championships in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Weighing in at 143 pounds, Morrow posted a 1,482 pound total which ranks him over 100 pounds ahead of the second ranked lifter on the Powerlifting Watch Lifter Rankings. The total also was a new WPA World Record and APA American Record.
Each of Morrow's lifts either set or tied the WPA World Record and APA American Record. His squat was 534 pounds, his press 347 and his deadlift 600 pounds. Morrow went eight for eight, passing on his final bench press attempt.
Morrow also earned the meet's best deadlifter award.
